Meat & Vegetable market at Treasury Square, Aizawl

Treasury square sobji market (bazaar) is located at the middle part of Mizoram state capital Aizawl. In local language (Mizo tawng) Meat & Vegetable market is  known as Chawhmeh bazaar or Chawhmeh zawrhna (in case of meat market it is called sa zawrhna). Despite the fact that there is no clear cut division of works base on gender but in Mizoram and mostly in Aizawl markets menfolk engage in pork and beef business whereas womenfolk manage vegetables, chicken and fish business. Treasury square market is a small market, it's occupying only one lane between Venghlui and Tuikual south pavements. Back in December 2011 while coming back from I&PR conference hall i clicked the below pictures:

Flowers from Mizoram

In Mizo language flower is known as 'pangpar'. Few years back a friend and blogger Jerusha  enlightened us with Mizo pangpar (flower), she did a good job in her blog with a title 'Mizo pangpar te leh an Sap hming'. She illustrated names of flower in Mizo and English, also included their Scientific names. It was actually useful and informative, one must see that page if they really interested in Mizoram's flowers. By owing high reference to  the descriptions already given by Jerusha i am adding some more flowers in this page which i had collected from our home state i.e. Mizoram. Some flowers are clicked by my brothers Thlenga Ralte & Amuana Ralte, i owe much credits to them too.  On the following pictures i just put question mark (?) on the captions, that means i do not know it name(s) in either in Mizo or in English, if you know it kindly correct me in comment sections.

A thrilling morning in Peacock lake (University of Hyderabad campus)

Having insomnia is not a new thing like me who stay in University's research scholar hostel for almost four years. It was in march 2012 i was awake all night long when most of the inmates are still asleep in their respective hostels and quarters in our University of Hyderabad campus, i decided to visit our campus famous lake of Peacock lake in early morning. Our University has two famous natural lakes - Buffalo lake and Peacock lake. I may not wrong by saying all the present students and alumni from this campus must also have nostalgic memories in these two lakes as it provides best hang out place to us.

I packed my camera, then pedaled my cycle till the lake while stopping many time on the way though.  It was quite fine as Peacock lake and nearby places were filled with nature thrill, not only little birds but bigger birds like peacock were also seen and hearing their songs can makes mind afresh. I had spent more than two hours in the lake, words can not express my experience in that morning so let the pictures tell the scenarios of that morning on the followings:

If you are studying this campus don't miss to visit peacock lake in morning at least once in your campus days, i can guaranteed you that you will not be regretted if you are nature lover like me. By the way, our University of Hyderabad is also known as Hyderabad Central University in short 'HCU', but this later name is not official but locally well known by its unofficial name.
