NB: I just want to mention about how much we gave appreciation of the opening ceremony programme of this event. One day before the opening ceremony was held, it was in late saturday night, a friend of mine came back to room and said if we want to go at the opening ceremony we have to get gate pass from the Canara Bank, but we still have hope that we might able to get in without pass since the programme would be held at just our neighbouring place. The day has came(sunday) and after we had our lunch we hurriedly called up all of our friend at Shopping complex in our campus. Security people stopped all the passenger vehicles in the main road so we also going by cycle till our campus small gate.

We have no other option but by walking as all the share taxi/rickshaw were banned, it was so sunny but nothing could not stop our enthusiasm! then we kept walking till the main gate of the Stadium. But things had changed within a few second! all our expectation and hope became vain!!! Nobody could be entered without valid pass..after enquiring all the possible steps and measures..the policeman who was duty on the entrance gate asked his boss through his handset and informed him about we are the students of the university just coming from the neighbouring campus who have no gate passes. Then his boss also said that we are not be allowed! So we have to go get back:-( we all were in line but we have no chance to get inside.... we will miss the opening ceremony and we might not have another chance to see like this kind of mega event). I looked at them (most of them are my juniors) but i cannot do anything(positive way!) for them...words cannot express how pitiful they were!...not only us, even some of our Mizo friends also turned up from the far distance place of Secunderabad, Zama, Dawnga(ozzman), Umawia, Zotea, they came from all the way but they could not get the chance too!(worst than us!)........my dear friends..(of course all of you) don't be worry there is another chance in closing ceremony on 21st.Oct.2007. I hope you will get gate pass for it and you will surely get inside peacefully. This is my hope and prayer! Best of luck!

The Last of HCU Mizo

Our Senior Scholar Mr.Epistemology(Utaitea) edited a documentary film "The Last of HCU Mizo" which is a collection of various Vedio clips from our Summer Trekkings that we had in our HCU campus. He wrote the introductory message " Chepandis went home for summer vacation, few are left in the HCU Campus. Five men, the vanishing people set forward in the frontier west of the Buffalo Lake". It is a nice documentary film and covered every of our summertime activities. The film will be publish soon:)

As i mentions before during the summer time only few Mizo Students were stay back in our Univ campus and we used to go for trekking in our campus, we'd explored the entire north, south, west & east directions. Whenever we set out for trekking we never came back with an empty handed! we found out so many hidden things and discovered the unknown things. I think those trekkings were very useful, truely it were a nice experiences for my lifetime. But due to the sudden pour of showers our usual programme was interupted for a few days. Luckily enough we had a chance for another trekking after a few days break, then our trekking party decided to move on to the western direction. But in this time due to unavoidable circumstances some of our colleagues were not in ready, only four Mizo'cans set forward..anyhow here we are:

Towards the western lake.

Deep in the jungle

let's follow this small stream first

Crocodile may be there, who knows?

aha! i f lof our way let us turn to left!

a

Crab makes the place as their heaven

am not a good leader but they still follows...

Crab sinking inside the water

Lizard on duty:)

Tamarind tress everywhere

Bird don't scare us!

Onwards to the western lake

Still another miles

Ducks also enjoy summertime

This is not our end!

Once a village boy

Being a village boy i could not forget climbing

U r always on my mind

Sweet shelter..life is everywhere

another side

Thinking some-ones?

Return from the border

Natural beauty

on our way back it laying pityful!! Rotten Dog

another smelly rotten..like Sinbad story this place may be the grave-yard for dog!

Odour replace by the virgin leaves

Looking like "Thilthek" trees in Mizoram

U know it's a time to go back

This trip of course gave us a pleasant time, but unlike our formers trips we didn't find any worth/useful things. The strange things we could get were only two smelly rotten dogs..i do not know this trip was to be called as success or not. But I think nobody from our campus would like to visit this place where the smelly rotten dogs were there ...so we are still success!? if you dont agreeing with me, you can ask Thanpuia, Tlinga & Utaitea also..let them make the final conclusion :) .........020707

Peacock Lake

Another trip.......in this time we went to Peacock Lake which is located at the back side of our Univ. Vice-Chancellor's Lodge. It was a great expedition as before, we found out jungle fruit and few remains of Megalithic culture. I never knew such remains are still there in our campus .Moreover, i was glad enough as it was my first time in the famous Peacock Lake since i have been here two years back. They said that Picture speak louder than words...i agreed and just look belows:

Towards Mushroom Rock

It was not my first time, i think this is my third time in Mushroom rock. It was a marvelous rock and is located at the University of Hyderabad with a magnificient structures and unique design. This trip would be unforgetable in my life, you know why? since that day i can have sound sleep, those who know how long am i struggle in night time to have a sound sleep would surely say it was a great trekking naa?!!

The HCU guyz are ready and move towards the so called Mushroom rock.
(L-R: Muansanga, John,Sawmtea, Me and Awma)

we can climb up only with the temporary stone made as a ladder and reach here.

too much to move it!!!

another unique design

We the Mizo students used to have an evening outing to avoid the summer heat. It was a good habit and we can have a big relief from the boring summer time. I won't write much about this trekking but i advise you all to have evening outing if you have insomnia it was helpful for me and it gives me a great relief from my longback severe insomnia. I never play any games and it hard to be avoid such insomnia as i merely stay in hostel doing nothing for my physical health and development. But since that day we visted mushroom rock i can easily sleep in night time and my insomnia also become decreasing day by day. Thank to all my dear colleagues who went for that day, you may not know but your participation makes a great change in my life. A big thums-up to Sawmtea, John, Robert, Muansanga, Awma and Immu.
