Mayflower - Gulmohar - Royal Poinciana - April par

If you check wikipedia page about 'mayflower' or 'Gulmohar' or 'Royal Poinciana' you will see it has different names and its flowering season also varies from place to place. In our home state Mizoram (India) it is commonly known as April par (means April flower), but in April we never see it's bloom,  generally it's flowering month is May. I am still wondering why this so called mayflower is called April par in Mizo language. My dad's friend Pu Liankhuma once said "Mizoram climate is very unique why because April par (April flower) is bloom only in May while Nipui par (summer flower) is bloom only in Thlasik (winter)." His words makes sense in many ways. Am still wondering why are we having such unrelated season or month names of flower in Mizo language.  I wish i can know why and who give such names in Mizo language, it must be interesting!

You may be called mayflower but we still called April par (flower),  whenever I see this flower it remind me the famous Shakespeare's quote "What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet." It's names and flowering season may be vary all over the world but for me it is a beautiful flowering tree. Be it mayflower, april par, gulmohar, royal poinciana, flamboyant, alasippoo etc. it's still the same in my eyes.
